Predicate

Predicate-noun
1-a word or combination of words, including the verb, objects, or phrases governed by the ver that make up 1 of the 2 main parts of a sentence
2-everything in a simple sentence other than names, for example, "runs" in "Fred runs" and "is taller than" in "Fred is taller than Ginger"
3-that which is affirmed or denied about something

1-to base an opinion, an action, or a result on something (formal)
2-to state or assert something (formal)
3-to imply something (formal)
4-to assert or affirm something about the subject of a statement
5-to make an expression or term the predicate of a statement
